2018-19 Personal Development in Living Mindfully Program

Applications Are Now Being Accepted!

Program Dates – June 2018 – June 2019

Distance Learning with Two 5-Day Residential Retreats

The Mindful Life Personal Development in Living Mindfully Program is an intensive, one year training and support program that provides participants with the opportunity to develop and embody their own mindfulness practice. This program was designed as an alternative pathway for those interested in receiving the more extensive training of a mindfulness teacher for their own personal development. Participants will be in the same retreats and many of the same trainings as the teacher trainees, however the focus will be directed toward personal development rather than teacher certification. This is a unique and rare opportunity to receive and develop your personalized mindfulness program.

The MLP Personal Development Program provides you with an intense year of focus on and guidance in developing your practice of living mindfully. You gain both the knowledge and the experience to live mindfully. Much more than taking a class, this program offers you the personalized support of the instructors and the opportunity to learn along with dedicated peers throughout a whole year. Beginning and ending the year with a five-day retreat provides a focused time to deepen your practice and anchors your experience of the learning community.

The training begins and concludes with a five-day retreat at the beautiful Mercy Retreat Center located on 33 acres in Auburn, California, with John Bruna, Mark Molony and Laura Bartels.

For those interested in the MLP Teacher Certification, see this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

– What are the benefits of the MLP Personal Development Program?

The MLP Personal Development Program provides you with an intense year of focus on and guidance in developing your practice of living mindfully. You gain both the knowledge and the experience to live mindfully. The program focus includes the four key areas of mindfulness – attention, wisdom, values and an open heart. The MLP curriculum empowers you to cultivate attention which creates more choice and the ability to initiate and respond to life with wisdom and in alignment with your values. The program provides tools to cultivate inner peace and genuine happiness and the ability to make healthy choices. With the MLP approach, mindfulness is much more than learning to be present in the moment. It is the ability to to be present with clarity and discernment – to be able to experience life (events, people, thoughts and emotions) consciously and respond with wisdom. Our mindfulness programs help you develop clarity, mental and emotional balance and lead a meaningful life that is in alignment with your inner values.
